Pick-up Days & Information

Republic Services picks up in Sunnyvale weekly on Tuesday and Friday.

  • There is no limit to the number of trash cans residents set out, as long as it's safe and manageable for the Republic Services Crew
  • Brush will be picked up as long as it's cut in four-foot sections and stacked three-feet high or less
  • Republic Services will pick up appliances with the freon removed and that have been stickered by a professional service

Holidays

Republic Services observes:

  • New Years Day
  • 4th of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

Should any of these occur on a Tuesday or Friday then services will continue the next day.

Other Helpful Information

  • 20 and 30 yard roll-off dumpsters are available through Republic Services
  • 95-gallon trash cans are available for rent at $3.50 per month
  • Appliances must have freon removed and stickered by a professional service
  • Special pick-ups can be arranged through Republic Services at homeowner's expense
